D'Agostino Supermarkets Places Green Mountain Coffee in All 23 New York Locations

First Supermarkets in New York City to Offer Newman's Own Organics Coffees

WATERBURY, Vt.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 3, 2003--Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc. (NASDAQ: GMCR) announced today that it is supplying 15 varieties of Green Mountain coffee to all 23 D'Agostino Supermarkets in New York City and Westchester County. In addition, the Company announced that D'Agostinos is the first supermarket chain in New York City to offer Newman's Own® Organics coffees, roasted exclusively by Green Mountain Coffee Roasters.

Nick and Patsy D'Agostino founded D'Agostino Supermarkets in 1932. The two brothers opened a small store on Lexington Avenue that combined high quality produce, baked goods, and groceries under a single roof, bringing the modern "supermarket" concept to life for the first time in New York City. The D'Agostino brothers also offered their customers the convenience of home delivery, a service that still exists today.
