Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Celebrates Its Anniversary with Fair Trade Certified™ "Silver Celebration Blend"

WATERBURY, Vt.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 1, 2006--Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. (NASDAQ: GMCR), a specialty coffee roaster based in Waterbury, Vermont, will celebrate its 25th birthday by releasing a special Silver Celebration Blend on May 15. The new coffee is Fair Trade Certified and has been described as "a tribute to classic coffee growing regions around the world." It was created specifically to honor the relationships--old and new--that built the Company's foundation, and provide the framework for the Company's future.

Silver Celebration Blend is an inspired combination of beans grown in Mexico, Colombia and Rwanda. All of the farmers who contributed to this memorable blend were paid a Fair Trade Certified™ price for their harvest. Careful attention to blending and roasting these high-quality beans has resulted in a coffee that has sweet aromatics, a wonderful balance, and a sparkling finish.
