Paul Rice, CEO of TransFair USA, was presented with the e-chievement award by e-town on Monday, September 18th at the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts in Burlington, Vermont. etown, a nationally-syndicated radio show headquartered in Boulder, Colo., traveled to Vermont for a special show sponsored by Ben & Jerry's and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. Paul was nominated by etown listener Adam Ivory of Boulder, Colorado, who wrote to say “October is Fair Trade Month and I’d like to nominate Paul Rice for his significant work with the Fair Trade movement.” Host Nick Forster interviewed Paul, and they spoke about Paul’s life and work and how his experience led him to his concern for farmers and farm workers, and his pioneering work in the global Fair Trade movement. National air dates for this etown taping are scheduled for Fair Trade Month in October, from Wednesday Oct. 25-Tuesday Oct 31.
