Partner Press Releases Grounds for Change, a Poulsbo-based coffee roastery, donates $5,000 to the Suquamish Elementary Environmental Education Boosters In support of its mission and its membership with 1% For The Planet, Grounds for Change recently made a $5,000 donation to the Suquamish Environmental Education (SEE) Boosters at Suquamish Elementary. As a member of 1% for the Planet, Grounds for Change commits at least 1% of its total sales to environmental organizations each year. In addition to SEE Boosters, Grounds for Change is donating to the Northwest Shade Coffee Campaign and Save Our Wild Salmon, both Washington-based organizations. The Suquamish Environmental Education (SEE) Boosters are a group of educators, parents and supporting local businesses who believe that students need experiential learning of the environment to become good citizens. The SEE Boosters raise money each year to supplement the funding of important programs like the resident learning at Islandwood, support of the Basket Marsh and Pond Kids, etc. Their goal is to make nature an integral part of students' daily education. The SEE Boosters are a registered 501(c)(3).
