Ben & Jerry's has expanded its line of ice creams with Fair Trade ingredients to include Chocolate and Vanilla. The company buys Fair Trade vanilla from producers in India and cocoa from small-scale farmers in the Dominican Republic. Ben & Jerry's co-founder Jerry Greenfield explains, "Expanding our flavors to include Fair Trade Vanilla and Chocolate is another step forward in our values-led sourcing decisions."
Ask for Fair Trade Vanilla and Chocolate ice cream in Ben & Jerry's scoop shops, supermarkets and grocery stores beginning January 2007.
Numi Organic Fair Trade Teas
Numi has introduced several new flavors of Fair Trade Certified organic teas, including Ginger Sun, White Nectar, Decaf Black Vanilla and White Rose.
American Hiking Society Teams Up with Higher Ground Coffee Roasters
American Hiking Society and Higher Ground coffee roasters have joined together to offer an organic, Fair Trade, shade grown blend of coffee to support not only coffee farming families, but hiking trails in the Southeastern U.S.
EcoTeas Rooibos
Hand-harvested by indigenous farmers in South Africa's Cedarburg Mountains, this caffeine-free tea is rich in flavor but light on bitter tannin. Rooibos is an abundant source of antioxidants and minerals, and it's ideal for children as well as those sensitive to caffeine.
Lara Bar's JŎCALAT

Organic Fair Trade Coffee Offered at Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort
World class ski resort Mammoth Mountain will offer organic, Fair Trade coffee to its 1.5 million guests. The micro-roasted organic Fair Trade coffee from Newhall Coffee Roasting Co supports Sumatran and Costa Rican farming families and communities. And the Fair Trade story will be on every cup, helping to educate skiers and snowboarders about the many benefits of Fair Trade.

The Student Committee for Fair Trade held a movie screening of Buyer Be Fair: The Promise of Product Certification, during which they gave out samples of Fair Trade Certified coffee, tea and chocolate, raffled off a pound of FTC coffee and held a discussion after the film. The group advertised the event using flyers, table tents and Facebook.

Fort Lewis College
Students at the Environmental Center at Fort Lewis College received a mini-grant to promote Fair Trade on campus during Fair Trade Month in October. They used the funds to bring Pascual Ataulfo Moreno, a Fair Trade farmer from Chiapas, Mexico, to the school. Pascual and Jean Walsh from TransFair USA met with a group of student activists, conducted an interview for "Making Waves," the campus environmental radio program, and gave an evening presentation that was attended by over 65 people.
