Coffee
Talk on Capitol Hill
Members of Congress and other government employees have been
enjoying Fair Trade Certified™ coffee in coffee shops
on Capitol Hill for the past year. This year, we're excited
to report that Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA) is leading an initiative
to introduce legislation that would make delicious Fair Trade
Certified™ brews even more widely available. In a recent
press release, Stark emphasized: “It is time that Congress
recognized that Fair Trade coffee is one step in solving the
humanitarian emergency that has been caused by the coffee crisis.”
